Welcome to Tree-Mendus Fruit, reporting on what's going on here at the orchard. The Tree-Mendus Fruit country store is open for the season. Our store hours are Wed - Mon. 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. We are closed on Tuesdays. Remember when planning your visit to pick fruit, our orchard closes at 5:30 Michigan time so give yourself plenty of time for harvesting. You can call us any time during regular business hours for any questions you may have or to place any orders.

The Tart Cherry harvesting season is in full swing and will continue through late July. Here at Tree-Mendus Fruit Farm we have a cherry pitting facility where you can wash, sort, and have your Tart Cherries pitted before you leave the farm. Remember to bring a cooler or container to keep them protected for the trip home. Just think, when you arrive home your Tart Cherries will be ready for you to put right in your freezer, make that fresh cherry pie, or use in your favorite homemade jam or jelly recipe.
The Sweet Cherry Harvest season is coming to an end. The cool temperatures and excessive rain has shortened our crop season so come and get them while supplies last.
There has been more and more talk and research done of the tart cherry, also called by some the "Super fruit". Some research has linked several important health benifits to tart cherries which include reducing inflammation and pain associated with gout and arthritis. We carry our own sweet and tart cherry juice ready to drink as well as tart cherry concentrate. Don't forget you can get that natural nutrition from dried cherries as well.
We are starting to pick a few Apricots, you can find them fresh and already in the market for you to taste and purchase. A few of the varieties that will be available are Sungem, Early Blush, and Harcot. The harvesting season will continue through August. Ask for a sample when you arrive.
We will be serving our Cherry Waffle Boats filled with our own Cherry Brite Topping and whipped cream and served with a cup of Tree-Mendus Apple Cider or coffee. This is a great treat after returning from the orchard with your cherry harvest. New this year are Apple Cider Slushers!! Try Tree-Mendus Fruits own special blended apple cider in a slushie or even the Cherry Apple Cider. They're Tree-Mendus!!!
While visiting the farm, don't forget we have fruit trees available for you. You too can have a cherry, peach, or apple tree right in your back yard. We will also have a a few raspberry and blueberry plants available. We have many people that have already placed there tree order for the 2009 planting and picked them up. But don't worry, if you are thinking of purchasing a tree you don't have to pre-order, we will have a selection for you to choose from while supplies last.
When planning your summer event's don't forget a fall visit to Tree-Mendus Fruit to pick apples. Consider renting a apple tree from our family tree orchard. This is a private orchard to "Rent-A-Tree" customers only. Our "Family Rent-A Tree" program allows families to "rent" an apple tree for the season. We take care of it; all you have to do is pick it! Bring the family and enjoy a picnic under your very own tree. At this time the selection is still good but will be filling up soon. Choose from apple varieties like, Mutsu, Jonagold, Golden Delicious, Rome, Jonathan, and Holiday.
We have many Tree-Mendus items that can be shipped to your door. You can try some of our Tree-Mendus Fruit products like jams and jellies, Grandma Zindles Sweet Pickles, or even some of our Cherry Brite Topping that you can only find here at Tree-Mendus Fruit. You can call during regular office hours for more information or to place any orders. Don't forget the frozen tart cherries for that fresh pie that tastes like no other. You may still purchase cherry juice, fresh cider, and many jams and jellies. We also have waffle mix and cherry brite topping to make your own cherry waffles during this winter season.

Did you know in addition to U-Pick and we-pick fruit in season, Tree-Mendus Fruit Farm accommodates company picnics, group orchard tours and country dinners by reservation. Our recreation area is a private picnic area nestled in a valley surrounded by trees for privacy. A pavilion is also available in case of rain. So plan for next spring or summer now. Call during regular office hours to schedule your event.
