What's Ripe-N-Ready?

Welcome to Tree-Mendus Fruit, reporting on what's going on here at the orchard.  Our Country store is now closed and our winter hours will be in effect.   That is, Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  You can call us any time during business hours for any questions you may have or to place any orders.  Our store will open for the season June 6th, Fri - Mon. 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

I've notices lot's of people are calling and making plans for this coming summer.  We have had a few warm beautiful day's in a row and spring fever is all around.  Apricots should be in blossom within this next week and all looks good for our fruit season.  As some of you may remember last year we had 2 inches of snow on Easter and many of our crops were thinned out or destroyed.  This year is promising yet and hope we don't have a cold snap.

Glen and Bill are trimming tree's right now and making plan's for the upcoming summer.  Soon we will be planting our new orchards now that the ground is softer.  Many of the new trees we have purchased are for planting but we will be providing some for our customers to purchase along with some of our own grafted specialty trees from our heritage apple orchard.  Other new plans for this year is to improve the web site so that you can order any Tree-Mendus goodies right from your home all season long. 

Nancy is working on a new listing for "e-news".  This will be any updates on special events, harvesting, or fruit special's you may want to know about.  If you wish to be signed up for this, just e-mail us at treemendus@qtm.net.  We will be sending these e-mail's only when there is an update on the season fruits or specials.  If you receive our newsletter in late May, some of this information will be in there, but up to the minute detail's on harvesting and added specials will only be sent via e-mail.  You can call us anytime for details, or check here for the Ripe-N-Ready report.

In the area and want to pick up some Tree-Mendus Treats?  Call our office and set an appointment and we will help you stock up for the winter.    If, when you call, we can't get to the phone, listen to the Ripe-N-Ready report and it will give you instructions on how to leave a message and we'll return you call as soon as possible. You can e-mail us with any questions as well.

If you want that fresh Cherry Pie  we have this seasons tart cherries in the freezer waiting for you.  We have picked, washed, sorted, and pitted our own tart cherries just for you. Call and place your order now.

Did you know in addition to U-Pick and we-pick fruit in season, Tree-Mendus Fruit Farm accommodates company picnics, group orchard tours and country dinners by reservation.  Our recreation area is a private picnic area nestled in a valley surrounded by trees for privacy.  A pavilion is also available in case of rain.  So plan for next spring or summer now.  Call during regular office hours to schedule your event.

Our "Family Rent-A Tree" program allows families to "rent" an apple tree for the season.  We take care of it; all you have to do is pick it!  Many apple varieties are available.  Call for more information.   This make's a great gift for that person that has everything.  It's a gift for the entire family to enjoy.
